Why we think we win this
Not because the software is hard. Luca built the first working front desk over a weekend from a single prompt, and said out loud that everyone must be doing this. He was right that building it is easy.
The edge is distribution
What is hard is getting a tile showroom in East Brunswick to point one subdomain at us, and then getting the interior designer there to leave two hours a week open for bookings she cannot see coming. We already have those conversations, because we already sell these businesses something else and they already answer our calls.
And being on the receiving end
Every protocol in this space is being designed by people with better credentials than ours, and none of them has data on which one gets used, because you only get that data by having businesses on the other end of real requests. We will have that before we have anything else worth having, and it is the contribution we can actually make to the specs rather than pretending we can out-design them.
What we are honest about
Confirmation, which is the stage that matters most, is half built. The first end-to-end booking was against a model playing a plumber, not a plumber. We would rather you knew that from the page than found it in a demo.
